But there is another Federico, much more intimate, who for decades remained hidden among letters, metaphors, and very close friendships.
On this journey, we will discover the Lorca who fell in love, who suffered, who lived through impossible relationships, and who found in love—reciprocated or not—one of the greatest sources of inspiration for his literary and theatrical work. To speak of Federico García Lorca is also to speak of freedom, and with freedom: the freedom to feel, to create, and to love in a Spain where doing so could be considered a revolutionary act.

This tour offers a different route through the nerve center of Granada to learn about the poet's love affairs.
Through her letters, poems, testimonies, and friendships, we will reconstruct the story of some of the men who marked her life.
We will learn how close friendships with figures like Salvador Dalí , Emilio Aladrén , Rafael Rodríguez Rapún, and Eduardo Rodriguez Valdivieso , among others, influenced his work, and how love, sexual desire, rejection, and the search for acceptance were transformed into verses that today form part of his most universal works and poems.
During the tour we will also talk about Granada at the beginning of the 20th century, the spaces where Lorca shared gatherings, cafes and meetings with intellectuals and artists, as well as the social environment in which he had to build his identity and his homosexuality.
Beyond the historical figure, we will discover a deeply human, vulnerable, passionate, and extraordinarily modern Frederick.

Far from sensationalism, this visit aims to bring the visitor closer to a reality that remained silenced for many years.
We will discuss Federico García Lorca's homosexuality as an inseparable part of his biography and artistic creation, understanding how this life experience permeated some of his most important works, from the Sonnets of Dark Love to The Public or the poems written during his last years.
We will also reflect on the repression suffered by the LGBTQ+ community during the first half of the 20th century and on the importance today of recovering these stories with respect and memory.
Because understanding Lorca also means understanding what for so long could not be said out loud, and which unfortunately continues to happen, and not only in this country.
