Placeta de Carvajales viewpoint

The Placeta de Carvajales is one of the most humble points of view of the Alhambra, it is a meeting point for music artists and people with special sensitivity to accept from the lower AlbaicĂ­n the majesty of the Sabika hill.

  • It is only accessible on foot from the center. Duration 6 or 7 min approx.

  • Medium intensity.

Viewpoint of San Miguel Alto

Patio de la Alberca Street, 36

Undoubtedly the highest viewpoint in Granada, it stands right on the last summit, on the same ridge as the Hermitage of San Miguel Alto. For many it is a challenge due to its height and for others it is a mandatory stop if you want to enjoy the summit of the culmination of all the viewpoints of Granada.

It can be accessed:

  • On foot from the center. Duration 60 or 70 min approx.

  • By private car or taxi.

  • Bus (line N9, in Triunfo).

San Cristobal viewpoint

This viewpoint is a pick-up point for many visitors, since it is easily accessible by transport and the descent from there to the center of Granada is very comfortable and pleasant. Furthermore, we all know that where former US President Bill Clinton was actually, it was here and not in San Nicolás.

It can be accessed:

  • On foot from the center. Duration 25 min approx.

  • By taxi or bus (line N9, in Triunfo).

  • By private car.

Going up behind the Alhambra car park, turning left before the cemetery and the next street to the left again, continuing straight on. The access is not very marked, and it is another totally different point of view of the Alhambra, where you can enjoy a vision of the Alhambra and the Vega de Granada.

  • By taxi or bus (line C35 – cemetery)

Mirador de San Nicolas Street.

The most emblematic and crowded viewpoint of the entire Albaicín neighborhood. Not for that reason it is worth less, we will also always recommend the stop at the Plaza de San Nicolás, be it more or less short. Thanks to millions of tourists who attend throughout the year are the best street artists. Our flamenco artists never fail!

We do not know if it is cataloged as a viewpoint, but of course it could be, the Plaza de los Aljibes de la Alhambra, next to the door of the Alcazaba. You can see the entire AlbaicĂ­n and Sacromonte. The perception from there to the entire historic center of Granada is a fantasy and real.

It can be accessed:

  • By taxi or bus (line C30 or C32)

  • It cannot be accessed by private car.

Churra viewpoint

Calle Almanzora Alta, 32, 18009 Granada.

This viewpoint is located just at the faults of the Alhambra and in front of AlbaicĂ­n.

The ascent is just as short as for the Placeta de Carvajales viewpoint.

  • It is only accessible on foot from the center. Duration 5 or 6 min approx.

  • Medium intensity.

Sacromonte Caves Museum Viewpoint

Blacks Ravine.

Access through Calle Verea de Enmedio, from Plaza Maria La Canastera. It is easy to get there as there is signage. It is an excellent and very exclusive viewpoint since it is within the Museum of the Sacromonte Caves. Admission is €5 per person. In addition to the more than 10 caves that remain original with their respective interpretation, and also very pragmatic, at the end of the street inside the museum, there is a hidden viewpoint that not everyone has access to, of course the photo is the most exclusive.

  • By taxi or bus (line C34).

Carlos Garden

Placeta Christ Lilies.

Place of stop or rest for pilgrims, visitors and locals, a sunset from this wide square is to listen to musicians of all levels, see jugglers with their pets, however visitors from all over the world can be seen. The view of the Alhambra is good even if it is not complete.

  • On foot from the center. 15 or 20 min.

  • By taxi or bus (line C31).

  • private car

Viewpoint of Verea de Enmedio. Sacromonte

Verea de Enmedio Street, 55.

Arriving at the Barrio del Sacromonte, from the AlbaicĂ­n is how you can enjoy the Alhambra in private, hardly any visitors pass by, some locals do, but in general the neighborhood is usually quite quiet.

It can be accessed:

  • On foot from the center. Duration 15 or 20 min approx.

  • By taxi and bus (C34 and C32 can stop nearby)

  • It cannot be accessed by private car.
